On My Wishlist

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly even hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It's where you list all of the books that you desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. I thought that this was a fantabulous idea so I thought I would join in!

"The Hunger Games"
by Suzanne Collins

Okay, so I know that I am probably one of the last people on Earth who hasn't read this series yet, and I don't really know why I haven't... Well, lie, I haven't read it as of yet because thanks to its popularity it is taking freaking forever to get from the library, darn you 46 holds before me! But I  mean, I have no idea why I haven't read it up to this point, considering that a) it has been out since 2008 and b) the entire series is already out. I have heard really good things about it and I kinda know the basic premise of the book (thank you Wikipedia), so I am hoping that I will really like it. I would totally buy it from Amazon (its like only $30 for the trilogy in hardcover on there :O !). But I have really come to hating buying books that I haven't read before because I usually seem not to like them and then I wish that I had used that money to buy books that I have read and loved but don't yet own...

"The Forest Wife"
by Theresa Tomlinson

So this is an older book that I read way back when (when I worked at the library) that I completely fell in love with. It is a retelling of Robin Hood, but "Robin Hood" in the story is actually female. Seriously, it is super great (and a trilogy all in one!) and I would love to buy it, but unfortunately I think that it is no longer in print.

"The Lost Saint"
by Bree Despain

This is the sequel to "The Dark Divine" by Bree Despain. I really liked the first one, much more than I had expected to, so I am really looking forward to this which is released on December 28th 2010 (seriously, isn't that a silly release date? Why wouldn't they have released it right before Christmas, so I dunno... People could actually get it for Christmas? *head shakes*)...
