On My Wishlist...

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It's where you list all of the books that you desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. I thought that this was a fantabulous idea so I thought I would join in!
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, I, like pretty much everyone else out there, cannot wait for the final book in Richelle Mead's "Vampire Academy" series, "The Last Sacrifice" (December 7th people, ONLY DECEMBER 7TH!!!). Lately I have been seeing a lot of people who have stated that they haven't read the series yet, or they only intend to read this last book in it and all I can think is.... ARE YOU CRAZY!?! You are seriously missing out in a great story and I really think that you are going to regret not reading this series. Seriously. It is on my "Top Series List". So go buy it! This is the type of book that if you do get it from the library, you will hoard it and everyone else on the holds list won't get it because you keep rereading it and whatnot, so just buy it so that everyone else can read the library copy ;).
From Goodreads: "Murder. Love. Jealousy. And the ultimate sacrifice. Now, with Rose on trial for her life and Lissa first in line for the Royal Throne, nothing will ever be the same between them."
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So "Linger" just left us hanging and I really want to know what happens to the gang! (Darn you Maggie Stiefvater and your cliffhangers!). "Forever" will be released on July 12 2011 (aka FOREVER FROM RIGHT NOW). Ugh... But the wait will be worth it I suppose ;).

From Goodreads: "In Maggie Stiefvater's SHIVER, Grace and Sam found each other. In LINGER, they fought to be together. Now, in FOREVER, the stakes are even higher than before.  Wolves are being hunted.  Lives are being threatened.  And love is harder and harder to hold on to as death comes closing in."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Kelley Armstrong is one of my top authors and I love her "Darkest Powers" trilogy a lot so I cannot wait to see her YA installment. What intrigues me so much is that these teenagers have been genetically altered and whatnot to become some of the extinct magical races- Project Phoenix.... What are the extinct magical races? We have werewolves, vampires, shamans, necromancers, witches, sorcerers, and whatnot.... So I def. cannot wait for "The Gathering" which is going to be released in April 2011.
From Kelley Armstrong's website: "Maya lives in a small medical-research town on Vancouver Island. How small? You can’t find it on the map. It has less than two-hundred people, and her school has only sixty-eight students—for every grade from kindergarten to twelve.
Now, strange things are happening in this claustrophobic town, and Maya’s determined to get to the bottom of them. First, the captain of the swim team drowns mysteriously in the middle of a calm lake. A year later, mountain lions start appearing around Maya’s home, and they won’t go away. Her best friend, Daniel, starts experiencing “bad vibes” about certain people and things. It doesn’t help that the new bad boy in town, Rafe, has a dangerous secret—and he’s interested in one special part of Maya’s anatomy: Her paw-print birthmark."
Well that's it for my wishlist this week- what's on your list?
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! I really appreciate it!
Though I appreciate awards I have decided to make my blog an "award-free zone". Unfortunately I do not have the time to hold up my end of award-giving. But again, I appreciate you thinking of me!
